Molly Parker - Eastland's "raisin advocate"!

Look what someone shared on Instagram! That's right, it's everybody's favorite* little activist, Eastland's own Molly Parker! This ad featuring Molly publicly advocating for natural raisins with no interference by "man" is from 1982---during season 3/4 of "The Facts of Life"! It's so cool to see how Molly Parker would have looked and sounded then!

It's also really fun to think of this as actually being Molly Parker. Tootie babysits for the headmaster's kids, so it wouldn't be unusual for Molly to take turns babysitting his kids, or another teacher or faculty member's kids, while studying for her Eastland classes , researching women's rights , fighting for the environment , and composing more folk tunes on her guitar . Now with this vintage timely footage, we can actually picture her in stories with her fellow classmates and Mrs. Garrett!

America's environment, Molly's father...maybe Molly's next hit single will be all about natural organic raisins!

I'm sure when she read the script she was like, "Why do I only mention mothers? Its only the woman's job to feed her kids?!"

Yeah, Molly's raisin commercials have been on YouTube for a while. Although they likely aired as late as 1982, during FOL's season 3/4, according to IMDb, they were taped in 1980, around the time Molly was wrapping up her last episode of "Facts". By '82, Molly was already transitioning to film.

Here is Molly in a print campaign for raisins. You can see that for the print campaign, they added glasses. Oddly, her glasses are on incredibly crookedly, and I'm not sure why they would take the photo like that.
