Hello, I’m looking for someone who can assist me in my search. It’s 100% for my own curiousity.
When I was young I lived in an Auburn Washington apartment complex. Our next door neighbor was a creepo who regularly boarded up his windows and acted paranoid. Years later after we moved to another city we were watching Unsolved Mysteries and my mom shouted, “that’s our old neighbor” The episode was about a man who killed his grandparents (in another state) and disappeared. My mom called the hotline and gave her story. She received several calls from the FBI after. This is literally all the info I have. I am not able to ask my mom for more info. Does this episode so familiar to anyone? I am slowly making my way through the episode synopses. Thanks! |

That doesn't sound familiar to me.
A few times we've had folks misremember America's Most Wanted segments for Unsolved segments (although occasionally both shows would cover the same stories). I recommend checking AMW sites and episode lists as well if you haven't already. In the meantime, I'll search too, but as of right now I'm unfamiliar with any such story on UM. |

The FBI wasn't looking for him when the segment aired (he was already serving his sentence by then). I'm almost positive no one else featured on the show killed their grandparents though

Same--at first I thought it might have been John Irwin, but I mistakenly thought he murdered his grandmother. When I looked him up, I then remembered it was actually his mother. Additionally, there was something about him "clowning it up" for a home video on the update after he was captured, and that didn't really sound like a dude who was boarding up his windows.
