Here's something interesting I just discovered: four years prior to her part on The Paul Lynde Show, Pamelyn Ferdin had the role of the Bumsteads' young daughter in the short lived, 1968 version of the Blondie sitcom. How about that.

I had never seen The Paul Lynde show until Antenna started airing it.I like it and find the show pleasant and entertaining.Until a few years ago I had never even heard of the show and had wondered why Paul Lynde never had his own show.Well I was wrong,he did.I think if it was not for the very tough competition between the 3 networks at the time the show could have run a few extra seasons.

I'd never heard of it either. There were a few clunker episodes, sure, but I think it deserved more seasons.

I knew about this show but hadn't seen it since it's original run in 1972-73. The show has it's flaws but overall it's fun and it has a retro/early 1970's vibe. I watch no more than 2 or 3 episodes at a time because Paul Lynde starts to get overbearing after awhile.

^I also like the early 1970s atmosphere. Some people make fun of 1970s clothes, decor etc.But overall I love the 1970s look and atmosphere in general.Always have.It was colorful and upbeat. So much better than the sterile look etc. of the 21st century.

I would also like to see it.I've heard about the show but I have never seen it either.Maybe Antenna TV or even MeTV will give it a run. Those channels should really consider showing more of these types of lesser known shows.

The 1968 version of Blondie has only 13 or 14 episodes so it wasn't on the air very long. The main actors were:

Will Hutchins as Dagwood
Patricia Harty as Blondie
Peter Robbins as Alexander
Pamelyn Ferdin as Cookie
Jim Backus as Mr. Dithers

I would like to see these episodes too but I imagine the chances are fairly slim. As far as I know, this series is currently considered lost unless the episodes turn up somewhere and someone releases them.

You may have seen it already, but closest I could come to finding Blondie '68 is the opening credits

I agree, I cannot watch today's TV shows. I don't like how the people act and don't like how the shows look. Very unappealing, very unattractive.

Well, if it's one thing I've learned in the last month, is that Paul Lynde is a bona fide Superstar here. Damn! Paul is great, but I'm not a fan of his sitcom much. I think most people like it because it is rare, it probably never got the syndication play it deserved.

I had no idea Paul was so revered.

Here is a 10 minute promo clip of the 1968 Blondie series which at least gives a glimpse as to what the show was like:
