https://tvline.com/2018/12/12/dancin...-28-cancelled/
Since its second season in 2006, Dancing with the Stars has aired two seasons every calendar year. But there won't be two in 2019. Following a 2018 that saw an abbreviated four-week spring all-athletes edition and the controversial fall Season 27 winner Bobby Bones, ABC has decided to skip a spring 2019 edition. "Though it’s not yet clear what prompted the competition series to sit out a midseason run, Dancing is coming off a controversial 27th season," reports TVLine's Rebecca Iannucci . "After multiple well-scored frontrunners were eliminated prematurely (including R&B singer Tinashe and Fuller House actor Juan Pablo Di Pace), the Mirrorball was ultimately awarded to country radio DJ — and very dark horse — Bobby Bones, who had scored much lower than his three fellow finalists." She adds there's no word on the future of Dancing with the Stars: Juniors, which aired simultaneously with Season 27. |

Its great that DWTS will not air for the Spring 2019 season because that show should take the blame for selecting a Wrong Person to win Season 27.

Is the end near for Dancing with the Stars?
Us Weekly reports there have been talks of ending the ABC reality competition next fall with Season 28. "If that happens, the network is hoping to bring back multiple original pros, including Karina Smirnoff, Cheryl Burke, Derek Hough, Mark Ballas and many more," reports Us Weekly. Talk of Dancing ending comes after news that there won't be a spring edition for the first time. It also comes after two back-to-back subpar seasons, including the four-week all-athletes edition earlier this year. “They want to have a great last season if there is just one season left,” a source tells Us Weekly. ALSO: Blame American Idol, not Bobby Bones, for Dancing's spring 2019 benching. |

I said it before but I really think this season was rigged. I honestly can't believe he has that many fans, especially since he was one of the worst dancers. This show is becoming more and more a joke and yes I think the end is near. They used to have more "stars". Sure some were hasbeens and TV legends but now they include YouTube people as stars.

Might as well just cancel the show right now.

Dancing with the Stars champ Sharna Burgess thinks the show having a long break is a good thing
“I think it will be good for fans to miss us for a little second,” Burgess, who won the most recent Dancing season with Bobby Bones, tells E.T. “There was a lot of Dancing with the Stars in 2018, with the tour and Juniors, the athlete season, and then the full season." She also says it would be good for the dancers to have a long break, too. |

That's a shame: it's one of my favourite shows. I didn't know Len was still judging-he's retired from the British equivalent, Strictly Come Dancing.

They should just end the show since it's not doing well.

They've got enough rope they've hung themselves, stick a fork in the show it's done. And whatever other similes and metaphors you can think of. I don't care because I won't be watching Dancing With The Stars again. Bobby Bones winning the trophy was the stupidest thing they've ever done.
