Default What does "Moderated Post" mean?

I'm watching Good Times and posted in it's forum about the episode where James was complaining about having to pay for Florida's operation. All I said was how cheap he was being and how his character is always angry and I was glad after he was killed off.

Then when I posted it, it said "Moderated Post" and wouldn't let me edit or even reply to it. WTH?

This never happened to me before. Are there certain boards here where you have to watch what you say and be extra sensitive?!

Default Are any new posts that we write now being moderated now?

I noticed a new thing on here and I'm wondering if this is something that Sitcoms Online is doing to the message boards for 2019? When you write a new post I noticed that it is moderated and I don't recall Sitcoms Online mentioning any new changes to the board this year? Is Sitcoms Online making new changes to the boards this year?

Nothing has been changed. I'm not sure what was happening. Maybe it was a temporary glitch last night. We only moderate members first posts to avoid spam. There were about 10 new threads in the moderation queue from registered members when I looked this morning from last night.

When I added the post below about the odd message last night about a duplicate post (that wasn't), that post became moderated. Maybe the program lost access to the registered members list. I agree, it seemed like a glitch of some kind.

Yup, anything goes around here, except in the Good Times forum. There you have to be careful

Cute! For a character with such a “Church Lady” personna it actually is refreshing to see her do some mild cursing!

I wondered this myself due to the extra sensitive PC society we're living in. I love Good Times and bought the series on DVD and am currently watching them in order 2 episodes a night.

It would be a shame if we have to "be careful" and can't make general criticisms on certain shows due to PC craziness.

That said, my posts DID appear 2 days later and one of the moderators sent a private message acknowledging that it was abnormal and possibly a glitch.

I immediately thought my account was flagged or something because I never had a post or thread made before that had to be awaiting moderation.

I'm glad to see it was just a glitch!!

This glitch is happening again. All new threads are being placed in the moderation queue for some reason. Hopefully it will fix itself. We'll have to manually approve any new threads for now.

I'm closing some of the 1,000+ post threads. It's time to create some new ones.
