I felt Banner was a bit of a coward for running from a crime he couldn't prove he didn't do and from Mister McGee. True, he had no memory of what he had done as the Hulk because he said he blacked out; and the Hulk was thought to be guilty for the murder of two people in the pilot episode; but he could've tried for not guilty by reason of insanity. I remember when they were doing the ads for the second TV movie later on, he was suspected for murder or something, which wasn't new when his Hulk was suspected of that in other episodes besides the pilot.
There's one episode I felt was insulting as far as Banner's physical strength went, and that's 747 where he had to turn into the Hulk in order to be strong enough to pull that thing on that jet. The episode itself was good and funny a little bit while he was the Hulk the first time, but I wish they could've come up with a better reason for him to have turned into the Hulk the second time. Take care and God bless |

I don't see that as being a coward; I think it's actually brave to think you could somehow prove yourself not guilty. In doing so, he faced the danger of being shot and killed by the police, exposure by McGee, and a longer sentence because of running. I'm not saying I would have done it; just saying he wasn't a coward. |

Well the Hulk saved him from gruesome deaths like being burned to death, stung to death by bees, and not to mention rapid onset of a severe pain and suffering death that would've resulted from the diamond back rattlesnake bite since a treatment for that bite didn't look likely in that episode; but he could've easily said he had no idea what happened after he became the Hulk. I wish the new one was starting this week instead of after the next Avengers movie. I didn't get enough look at Edward Norton's portrayal of him, and the name the actor went with or was born with reminds me of The Honeymooners. I did see Eric Bana playing him and Mark Ruffalo. And then there's She-Hulk with Gabrielle Reece and the one who played Jennifer Walters that I'd like to see. That would pretty much catch me up on everything that just focuses on the hulks themselves and don't care to see about watching the cartoon series. I didn't even watch that much when I was a kid and can only remember the episode where he got cured but had to regain Hulk powers to save either the world or a region.

I always that it was interesting that the Hulk was blamed for the death of Dr. Elaina Marks when in fact it was Jack McGee who actually caused her death. In the pilot, McGee hid in a closet and knocked over a bottle containing a liquid that led to the explosion in the lab. It might have made for an interesting episode if an investigation as to the cause of the fire had been proven to have come from the bottle that McGee accidentally knocked over. I wonder if it would've given Dr. Banner an excuse for returning to his old life and continue searching for a cure in peace and quiet.

He was actually blamed for two murders because they thought he killed Dr. Banner too. Would Jack McGee have been prosecuted for negligible homicide if they had found he was the one who did it? I know in a neighborhood I lived in, there was an accidental shooting that led to a death; and I believe one of the people was charged for that; but I don't know if laws have become more strict in the 21st century than they were back in the 70's. It was a young person who was handling the gun when it accidentally went off; and the younger someone is, the less common sense they have. That was demonstrated in the episode The Psychic where this young teenager or whatever accidentally killed his best friend and blamed the Hulk for it.
Take care and God loves you. |
