Default Antenna TV Winter 2019 schedule

Over on the blog, Pavan posted the upcoming Antenna TV winter schedule for 2019.

What's leaving:

Webster, What's Happening!!, What's Happening Now!! and Good Morning World

Series moving timeslots include Johnny Carson heading back to 10pm, while Three's Company moves back into late fringe at 11pm & 11:30pm (with an early morning encore from 5-6am).

There are other late fringe and overnight changes including Coach and Murphy Brown from 12-1am. In the early evening, Archie Bunker's Place will double-up now from 7-8pm, while 227 and Maude also get two runs from 4:30-5:30pm and 6-7pm, respectively. Weekends will get the most changes to the schedule. Almost everything from 1pm and on has a new timeslot, including The Hogan Family from 1-2pm, Head of the Class from 2-3pm, Family Ties from 3-4pm and Silver Spoons from 4-5pm.

Saturday nights in primetime get '70s fever with Three's Company, Barney Miller and Soap from 7-10pm leading into 90-minute editions of Johnny Carson. The new Sunday primetime features Coach, My Two Dads and Growing Pains from 7-10pm. Early mornings on weekends will remain intact from 5-9am, but with Jack Benny Program now at 6:30am. Before this schedule starts, Antenna TV celebrates the end of 2018 with a New Year's Eve of The Paul Lynde Show from 6pm-3:30am. And Antenna TV rings in 2019 with a New Year's Kick-Off Coach marathon from 5am-4am.

I like that Coach gets banished to Midnight, must have been doing awful from 10-11pm to be pushed to the wayside like that. Would NOT miss it if it went away completely! I wish Antenna would add Chico and the Man & It's a Living to their lineup, those are two rare gems that have been shown very infrequently and should be by Antenna!

Probably not until Coach is removed.

Well then enjoy that I guess. More power to you even if it is a waste of time and energy on something you could be spending better things doing.

I mean, I really don't care, I know it'll happen sooner or later.

That's what my mind said about Small Wonder... and yet, Antenna still shows it.

I wish Antenna TV would just take all their shows and throw them onto a streaming channel. This way we don't have to be restricted to their lousy scheduling. It would be great if we can just stream any show we want that they have rights to according to OUR schedule preference.

I don't know if it's too expensive for them to do or they just don't want to do it. I hate the new Saturday evening schedule with a passion and will miss my Saturday night classics now and will NOT be tuning into Antenna TV that night anymore.

I ordered a Roku this week (just $24 on sale at Walmart!) and will sign up for Hulu with their $5.99/month special for 1 year. They don't have the whole Saturday lineup Antenna TV is dropping, but they do have all the "McHale's Navy" and "Father Knows Best" episodes and I also found Roku channels that play all the "Burns & Allen" & "Jack Benny Show" for free! So now i'll have my Saturday night classic viewing back again.

If Antenna TV just took their whole library and added them to a streaming channel, all the good shows they're shoving to the graveyard hours could be seen anytime and not only that, we can choose the episodes we want to see as well.

That's too bad. Between their lousy scheduling, ever increasing commercial breaks, and dropping shows I like, i'm turning to DVD's and streaming now when I used to watch almost all my TV viewing solely on Antenna TV. Oh well. It's their loss.

Same here, mainly because I hate the credit crunch. But if they were streaming, there probably wouldn’t be a credit crunch which would be nice. I also wish MeTV’s shows could be streamed because their scheduling is bad as well although at least they don’t crunch credits.

With the Roku, I'd suggest an AirTV and an external hard-drive, assuming you can use an antenna. An indoor antenna will likely work well if your Antenna TV subchannel is on a UHF station. Then with the Sling app, you can record Antenna TV shows and it's a DVR and you can fast forward the commercials.
