Does anyone like this new MacGyver??

This show is AWFUL. I tried watching a few episodes in season 1 and it started out OK but then it got worse and worse to the point where it was almost unwatchable! It's too much of the same thing over & over with little variation.

Also like many shows they've given into to Hollywood looney political correctness and inserted a black character who's TOTALLY out of place! Then they added a midget who replaced a good female actor.

They don't use even a variation of the original music which was a big part of the original show. This show is a TRAVESTY compared to the original!

Does anyone like this show and if so WHY?? You think it will be cancelled?

Originally I did not like CBS using the reputation of iconic dramas to promote new TV shows so I held off watching any of these remakes for years until I finally relented and I have been watching a few episodes of this new MacGyver and the 2010 Hawaii 5-0. The Hawaii 5-0 remake is actually decent but the MacGyver remake is not.

This remake of MacGyver tarnishes the reputation of the original 1985 series and the spirit of the MacGyver character. Honestly the remake has more in common with the NCIS variants than it does with the original MacGyver. In the original series MacGyver and The Phoenix Foundation seemed loosely affiliated with government but in the remake it feels like he is almost a government employee.

If CBS was going to stray so far from the original premise of MacGyver they should have given the remake a unique title with no affiliation to MacGyver.

I agree: I liked the new Hawaii 5-0, but cannot abide the new MacGyver.

I actually got to be a test audience member for the new H50 during pilot season. That was pretty cool!

At least The Original Macgyver was the best

I'm kinda surprised this new MacGyver lasted as long as it did. Although I don't think it's quite as bad as I thought it was it CANNOT compare to the original!
