Good god, your spelling is horrible. It amazes me how many people now days cannot spell simple words or put together a coherent sentence.

While I may not buy the going back to it's roots story just yet. But personally if I could rebrand TV Land. I'd turn the station into a predominantly 1960's & 1970's sitcoms one. While running mid to late 50's programming in the morning and on weekend nights. Which would include stuff like the old Hollywood serials and 3 Stooges.

Please don't take this as being preachy, and I'm not a moderator, but I'm just trying to be helpful to those who might not know--we're not supposed to post about others' incorrect grammar, etc. The rule is copy/pasted below:

3. Please do NOT correct other users spelling, punctuation, and/or grammar. This isn't English class - as long as the message is coherent enough to make it's point, that's all we ask.

For instance, I'm not supposed to point out that there's an incorrect apostrophe in the rule!

TV Land Supposedly will Go Back to its Classic Roots, No More Originals.

I hope this is true but I'll believe it when I see it.

Two posts above reminded me how I miss 90s Nick at Nite. Though I have most of the shows they aired on dvd, there was something special about the musical bumpers and commercials.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that actually finds nostalgia in these things. I HATE the commercials of today but actually find comfort in the vintage, retro commercials from 70s-90s.

The bumpers from TGIF were my absolute favorite. That block made me look forward to watching TV back in the day. Great shows and they were weaved together with great hosts.

It's shocking to see program blocks, even from 15 years ago, from TV Land/Nick at Nite. So much innovation and creativity. Now they cannot spend an extra second of time on anything that isn't an ad (most often, a junk ad).

Also, if they must continue off the clock programming, expand the half hour program block to 40 minutes (3 40s per two hours) (from the current 33 to 35), and use the extra minutes for more program, and creative material, bumpers, etc.

(Off topic, sorry!) The original ABC airings of Home Improvement had absolutely fantastic bumpers. Some survived awhile into syndication (but certainly not today--we couldn't spare 5 seconds for that!), but never made it onto the DVD sets.

If TV Land going back to its classic roots means finally getting to air (the original) One Day at a Time after avoiding it throughout their entire existence, then by all means, they may as well just go for it (if those rumors is true). I know some of you may not like ODaaT, but I've had to rely of FETV to get my ODaaT fix. (I'm part of a family that subscribes to Dish Network, and we don't get Antenna TV).

I doubt this will be a true "return" of classics. Some shows have run too long and too many episodes in a row. Going back "on the clock" will either require more editing of the shows and giving up an extra commercial or two. Don't see that happening either. Sometimes I forget what show or episode I was watching during the commercials and sometimes flip the channel and never change it back. Stuff like the old, original TV Land would probably require an extra fee similar to Netflix or a higher tier of cable. If they'd really go back I'd subscribe to a streaming service.
