Does any one know rather the 1982 show Star of the Family is still part of the CBS Television/Paramount Library? I didn't see it in the syndication list. And I don't think it's been syndicated since it originally aired.Do the episodes still exist in the Paramount Studios library?
Visiting the Paley Center in Beverly Hills an attendant said they were the only ones to have them(they have two episodes--"The Critic" and "Save My Life Please")in good print quality. Don't know what he meant by that. I got a copy of the pilot and I know of some one having the episode "Marking Time"--although they're about a C in quality. They probably made 13 episodes before being canceled after showing 10 in 1982. Does anyone know if the prints(tapes) still exist and are in the Paramount Studios vaults? Otherwise I'm waiting for them to put it out on DVD like some of the other short-lived shows they've put out. I've even written to Antenna TV and Decades in hopes that they could get them from storage and air them. Does anyone have any other copies of the show on tape or DVD? |
