Yep!
I didn't know this until recently, but there are at least two slightly different versions of the acapella, one used for Season 6, and one used for some Season 7 episodes.

Wish I'd thought of that. That has to be the absolute worst.

Any sane person working with the show, screening it before the season, would have said, don't fool with a winner. Leave it the way it was.

No sane people were still working on Happy Days by that point; they all left after the first 100 episodes. How else do we explain the introduction of characters like KC Cunningham, Chachi, Mork from Ork, and Ted McGinley?

I can't stand the acapella version of the Growing Pains theme.

I like both of the Eight Is Enough theme songs, but there probably aren't many other people that like the one with vocals on it.

The reason that the writer of that blog can't find a video of the final year's Designing Women theme is because the final year didn't have a theme.

So basically, there was no final-season title track on that 1986-93 CBS comedy; it just started cold?

I like the vocal theme for Eight is Enough too. And I have heard that one a lot more than the first theme, with it being the one shown on the theme songs site I have bookmarked.

I'm not sure if an 11 second instrumental can count as a title track.

How about the last season of Diff’rent Strokes when it was on ABC? It wasn’t bad but it was nowhere near as good as the original.

The Drew Carey Show, in one of the later seasons (Maybe it was the last season I can't remember) they used some lousy version of Five O' Clock World as a theme song. I think it was specifically recorded for the show but either way I absolutely hate it.

When they replaced the original theme for Another World, "Another World Theme" by Charles Paul, and replaced it with the "(You Take Me Away To) Another World" song, with Crystal Gayle and Gary Morris.

This is what I thought was replaced with that Gayle/Morris song:

I agree. This is an example where the composers threw in too many unnecessary elements to try and freshen things up, but it just sounds over the top.

One of the later seasons of Remington Steele (I think season four) had the same problem...it was too much going on.

I was never a fan of the second That 70s Show theme.

The third season closing theme of The Land of the Lost replaced a great theme, and wasn't as good. It was this weird banjo version.
