Default Christmas music on the radio

Have any of your radio stations started to play Christmas music yet? Mine have. One station already made the switch on Monday, another did it this morning, and another one is making the switch later on tonight at 5 PM.

I think it's way too early for them to be playing this kind of music and should wait until at least Thanksgiving.

There's a station near here that started today. I think Thanksgiving is the optimal time to start but it doesn't bother me too much at this point.

As long as it's not January-October I won't get too upset.

There's two things about Christmas music that the radio stations like to do when they started playing it every year on Thanksgiving. 1. They never play any new Christmas songs from new albums from artists and 2. It's always the same recycled Christmas songs. Take for instance how many times can you hear Trans-Siberian Orchestra's version of Carol Of The Bells or Bing Crosby's White Christmas? But what stations should do is play Christmas songs from Fantasia Leann Rimes and many other artists but do not overdo it by recycling the same Christmas songs over and over

^^^ Amen to that. I hate when its the same stuff over and over. In my opinion, what singers come up with on their own is some of the best stuff out there.

God bless you always!!!

Since I have satellite radio in my car, I don't listen to FM stations. Sirius Radio began their two stations dedicated to all-Christmas music in late October.

Angry Christmas music. Blaah, humbug.

For an entire month or so, beginning today, I switch my radio dial to any station NOT playing wall-to-wall Christmas music, preferably to a classic rock station.

KOST 103.5 FM started playing Christmas music about one week ago, around Nov. 17.

I love Christmas music but I usually just listen to my CDs or iTunes.
