When my mother worked at this rent a car place many years ago, she happened to see Paul walk in and talked to him for a little bit.

She likes to tell this story a lot, but doesn't remember much since it was a long time ago.

According to her, Paul was very nice.

I read he spoke with a British accent even when he wasn't acting. Maybe he stopped doing that in his old age.

Maybe he did. I could ask her if he did the accent, but don't think he did.

I loved how George kept slamming the door in Bentley's face!

NO ONE did irreverent outspoken humor than George Jefferson! Not even Archie Bunker. Although Bunker was probably 2nd best.
