Anyone else having problems with Perfect Strangers Orders from Amazon?
This would be the 2nd time I have had this issue, and I was wondering if anyone else had it as well. The Amazon listing for Perfect Strangers season 5 says that it is available to ship in one to two days if you order it. Okay, so I ordered this set on September 28th, and the delivery date was set for October 3rd. October 3rd rolls around, and nothing. So I check the status of my order and there is a “new arrival date” of October 9th. October 9th rolls around, and again, nothing. So I check and there is a “new arrival date” of October 15th, and again, nothing. Now it is listing October 19th as the “new arrival date” and that there is a delay on processing the order. Really? For a listing that lists that it will ship within 1-2 days if you order it? Also, when they list a new arrival date, I have to approve it using a desktop computer. Amazon will freeze the order entirely unless you approve the delayed date within a window of a few days, otherwise they will cancel it entirely. Amazon will not accept approval on any android devices (including Amazon Kindle). It has to be approved on a desktop computer. And yet, there seems to be a continued problem getting this set to be shipped to the house. The same thing happened to me when I the third season set of Perfect Strangers, however in that case, I received it after a couple of weeks. This one is going on week three, and there is no guarantee that it will arrive on the new date. Anyone else having this problem? |

Just order from WBshop.com and save yourself the headache. They also have pressed discs not the DVD-R like Amazon.

When I ordered seasons 3 and 4 from Amazon, I got the official Warner Bros. artwork on the label side of the disc, but the surface on the bottom was purple. The only problem with the WB Shop is that it's more expensive than Amazon, and they charge you shipping, making the bill for one season over $35, and that's not including tax. Yet on the other hand, since I first posted this thread, Amazon has delayed the package an additional two more times with no guarantee that the package will actually arrive when they say it will. It's crazy, and aggravating at the same time. |

Update: I finally received my Perfect Strangers DVD set on the 31st of October. Although I was happy to finally get it, I still think it is disgraceful that Amazon delayed the set a total of 5 times before I received it. And on top of it, Amazon removed the option to provide feedback on shipping.

^^^ My advice would be to stick to Wal-Mart when getting whatever you still don't have. That is where my DVDs came from and I had no problem with my getting them. I was actually worried that I would not get my preordered copy of the final one until the day after it was released because of Memorial Day being an issue since no mail is handed out on that day, but I still got it when I was supposed to.

You know it's funny but with the last three seasons, I ended up buying them from DeepDiscountDVD.com. They were cheaper and sent pressed discs. I am actually having an issue at this time with the last two seasons though. When the final two seasons arrived, the case was damaged. I opened up the shrink wrap and shards of sharp plastic fell out of it. The discs looked good and did not fall off of their hubs, but the case was badly damaged on the bottom and back. I called to see if they could send a replacement case, but they said no, that I would have to send the entire set back to them so they could get the credit from the manufacturer. I swear, I am a magnet for these types of situations. It's very unsettling and aggravating when they happen.

^^^ I know exactly where you are coming from. I have been gathering up everything that I can find of Bronson's (Balki) other acting credits and sadly there have been two incidents so far. My first copy of his First Wives Club film ended up having a whole other DVD inside of its holder and just the other day, I got another of his films earlier this week named Slappy And the Stinkers and when I try to play it, I get a message saying "Region Error" which I have never had happen to me before.
God bless you always!!! Holly P.S. I am waiting on four more to get to me right now. Hopefully they will be okay. The good thing about the two is how cheep they were anyway. |

I had the same issue with Amazon. I even got about $130>of credits for the issues I've had for a $23 purchase. Turns out I was having the order shipped from Alaska fullfillment center. They finally changed it to Kentucky fullfillment center and I ended up getting season 4.season 5 I called ahead about the premier order and asked if they could make a note where it should be shipped from and I got it on time. Final 2 seasons from Amazon inhad an issue where it said ordered will arrive in August. I canceled if and ordered from deepdiscount. Com. Had the same issue of anshards from the side broken. Discs weren't scratched ao kept it.

^^^ My DVD that tells me "Region Error" when I try to play it was loose inside its holder too. One time I had to get a replacement for a DVD that I got from the Wal-Mart website because it was scratched so bad that it wouldn't play smoothy like it was supposed to, but so far that is the only issue that I have ever had with Wal-Mart and actually the disc came from a company named Deal Yard, but through the Wal-Mart website is how I ordered it.
God bless you always!!! Holly P.S. The third season of the A&E show named The Glades is what I had to have replaced. (I LOVE that show.) |

Amazon still shows August for order expected delivery. If anyone hasn't already received their order, get it from deepdiscountdvd.com for 1 week delivery.
