Default Favorite Fallon

Who did you prefer as Fallon? Pamela Sue Martin (1981-1984) or Emma Samms (1985, 1987-1989; 1985-1987 on The Colbys)?

Personally, I prefer Pamela Sue Martin. She was one of the best actresses on the show, IMO. I didn't really like Emma Samms until the final season. Both her acting and the writing for the character improved a lot.

I preferred Pam. After seeing her in the part, it was hard to see a british gal saying her lines. I didn't see it quite as hard to see Jack Coleman taking over Al Corley's part. Although Al gave the character a more introvert personality. He was troubled in the early shows. WIth Jack I forget he has the troubles.

There is only one Fallon: Pamela Sue Martin.

The character who was called Fallon in the later years was a whiny imposter who sometimes had a hard time concealing her British accent.

Dynasty's main flaw was weak replacement actors - they should have just written the characters off and created new ones.

I would love to see another reunion movie, but this time, with the original actors who played Fallon, Steven and Adam in their respective roles.

I like them both equally.

I have to wonder if Amanda wasn't supposed to be a replacement for Fallon. Season five began with Fallon's presumed death and all of a sudden, Blake and Alexis have another secret child that shows up. I wonder if they decided to have Amanda fill the void and then realize she wasn't up to the task, so they decided to bring on "Fake Fallon" (Emma Samms) to get things back on track.

They brought Adam on when Steven had been written off the show, so I wonder if these characters were originally conceived to fill the space created by the other characters' departures.

And once again, there is only one Fallon: Pamela Sue Martin. I was glad when they had the reunion special, that she was included in the discussion and not Emma Samms. Ditto for Al Corley as Steven. I would love to see a Dynasty TV movie revival with all the original actors playing the Carrington siblings.

Pamela Sue Martin. I guess because she was the first Fallon, and never could be replaced in my mind.

and Pamela's so cute!

Both were great at portraying that character, i'll pick Emma Samms on that.

Pamela Sue-Martin was a better actress and one felt she was genetically more likely to be the offspring of a Blake and Alexis union.

I agree.

Emma Samms is a good actress, but she never was Fallon for me.

She wasn't the right fit. She tried -- sometimes too hard -- but it never clicked for me.

None of the replacement actors were as good as the originals, IMO.
