Cool Anyone Like Playing Those Claw/Crane Machines?

You can find them in arcades, movie theater lobbies, some restaurant/store lobbies...

Most of them are filled with stuffed animals, but I've seen some other prizes like sunglasses, watches, bundle of DVDs, cheap action figures...

I went to play one the other day while waiting for the bus to come. It was a $0.50 cent machine and I won sunglasses on the first try.

I decided to give it to this person who runs a yard sale and see if he could sell it. I came back the next day and he told me he managed to sell it for $2.00 and gave me my $1.00

They look like they changed a lot since I was a kid. I remember they had cameras, cigarette lighters, pocket knives and jewelry but were always to heavy for the crane to pick up, so I usually ended up with a plastic whistle or some other cheap toy.

Yeah, the ones that I've seen have a hard time with picking up heavy objects. It's to weak to even grip it.

I've also seen some claw machines that have candy only. It's not really a claw, it's more of a scooper.

My ex girlfriends, grandfather figured it out that every ten plays is a winner, he used to win all the time. Its been twelve years ago, so they may have changed the machines since then where it dont work like that anymore.

When I was in Atlantic City I saw one that was a rolex machine that asked for $50.00 for 1 chance. I wanted to try it but I said 'screw it'.

Yeah, most of the prizes are junk but I like playing those machines for the skill. I usually try them if I happen to come across one.

I actually played one today when I was out before. Some random 99 cent store had one outside and I won some stuffed bear on the first try. I gave it to one of my neighbors who has young kids.

You can find them in Truck stops too. Like Pilot and TA or Loves. The ones there have GPS, MP3s (Ipod look alike) Blue tooth and cheap cell phones. I have never won anything from them.

I'm always looking for one that has those Three-Eyed Aliens in it, along with a Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woodie Action Figure, but so far I've seen none with those in it!

I am awful at those things, so I never use them anymore. But one of my good friends says her brother is really good at it. I'd love to know his secret!

I've seen those too. They are extremely difficult to get because they are usually in square boxes that are hard for the claw to get a good grip of.

Mom and I used to like to play the claw machines but we never won anything until when we were shopping at Kmart and we decided to play the claw machine there and I won a Pocahontas rag doll and then Mom had to get a Kmart employee to help get the doll out because Pocahontas's hair was stuck in the claw and the employee had to open the machine and give her to me but that was a great prize and I still have it today. My uncle also likes claw machines too and he won stuffed animals for my cousins and me and I got a race car driver teddy bear that I still have that I keep on display in my room. There's something about crane games that are so fun to play and the stuffed animals that they have are so cool

I used to love these as a kid, but never got anything major. Just a stuffed animal and some other stuff.
