Default This board is so weird

For the last decade or so...just...so weird.

I remember I used to post here all the time. Even one audience member I met at the studios who goes to a lot of tapings of sitcoms I work at remembered me from posting on these boards waaaay back in the early 2000s before I moved to Los Angeles. But in the past decade, this board is not the way it used to be.

People used to talk a lot about the show. They used to post a lot strictly about it. Ever since the full series DVD release, this board has really, really, really died down, and most posts aren't really related 100% to the show.

We used to get posts such as

Favorite episodes
Least Favorite Episodes
Favorite character
Least Favorite Character
Which was the better theme song
Tape trading possibilities
Breakdowns of what happened and what people thought per season/episode

Now it's all just stuff that's not all related to the show. There is a different group of people who post here now, and most of the topics are rarely getting responded to by the old time posters.

Yeah, and plus, I think with Antenna running it, people like me have discovered what an awful show it is so they won't comment on these boards.

I was shocked I got antenna TV. They have messed the shows up completely. Other networks do the same thing. They edit it a lot. They cut the end credits and run them on a small screen while the opening is going for the next show below it. It's really, really bad. They butcher all shows on there.

As for who I met from the show out here in LA...I didn't meet anyone...but I was feet away from Jonathan Silverman when I worked at the series finale of Greek back in 2010, and in 2007, Matthew Lawrence was next to me when he visited a taping of Dancing With The Stars when I worked there.

What makes you say that this is an awful show? I liked it a lot.

I tried to watch it when Antenna first put it on, but I just hate it. I didn't want to hate it, but I hate everything about this show. It's tacky, it's bland, and it has no depth. And it's also just not funny. It's stupid and awful.

I, for one, love this show! Find us an unedited network copy of "Who Dunnit?".. that would get me discussin' all over the place!

Yeah!! I like it too!! I remember watching it first run and liking it and than not seeing it again ! When Antenna announced they were showing GAB I was like Oh wow cool!! Anyway I really enjoy this show!! It is a little bit silly sometimes! And The Chief and Nell can at sometimes be mean, but that is life right? I relate because they are a Polish American family and I am too! I relate to the girls like they are my Sisters and I really LOVE Jonathan , which is a big plus because first run I didn't crush on him! Not that I didn't like him, I was just young and really involved in my own real life than!! But this time around with more free time on my hands I'm like "Oh that Jonathan is a cutie pie hotty, even though he is a klutz" !!

And I like the Lucy & Ethel / Laverne & Shirley type friendship/ interaction between Nell and Addy!! Very cool and funny!!

I liked the early seasons. But once the girls left the show, it was horrible.

Yeah agreed it was better with the girls in Glenlawn , and got week without them ( and Jonathan) when Nell moved to NY !! It would have been so cool if at least Julie and Jonathan stayed !! Had Nell move to Bakersfield with them when Jonathan took the job at the Chalk factory. The show could center on the married life of Julie, Jonathan and the baby , with Nell helping Julie out with baby Nell!!

That would have been so much better than what they did do. Bonniegirl, you should have been a producer on the show!

I see what you mean. The sixth and final season in New York was pretty bad!
