I graduated on June 5, 1968(the day that Bobby Kennedy was assassinated, he died 26 hours later). The number one song was" Mrs. Robinson"- Simon and Garfunkel. Can't believe how long ago that was!

Middle School (May 23, 2001): "All For You" - Janet Jackson

High School (May 25, 2005): "Hollaback Girl" - Gwen Stefani

Everything makes me feel old now. Never thought it would happen but it has! My daughter was born in Sept. '69. I just try not to think about it!

^The first Friday in June 2000 was actually June 2nd, and Santana's "Maria Maria" happened to be the #1 song that day as well.

Sorry Holly that I got the date wrong but on June 2, 2000 The #1 Country song was "The Way You Love Me" by Faith Hill.

^^^ Thank you. The reason why I was curious is because I graduated right when "I Hope You Dance" was the current song from country singer Lee Ann Womack and of course that went onto become a big graduation time song.
