Well, I see both sides of it. If the sign says “all you can eat”, then they have to honor it, and really don’t have the right to ban anybody. When you say”all you can eat”—that’s the risk the business takes. Personally, I dislike these kinds of places; I’m at a point in my life where I eat healthfully— and gluttony certainly goes against that.

I was reading the posts, and maybe limiting the number of plates a customer can have might be an alernative. Perhaps a sign saying “@all you can eat-maximum: 5 helpings.” might work. But really, restaurants that offer this, in my opinion, are only asking for trouble. Better to give really nice sized a la carte portions.

Reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons when Homer went to a seafood restaurant and kept eating. I love sushi but I couldn't eat 100 plates without throwing up. If a place says "all you can eat" then the guy has the right, but some restaurants put a limit on some items (or charge more).

Why did they ban him? Couldn't they just have had the hearse drive him away?

YUCK!!! Sushi!!! I can't even eat one plate of it!!!

But I don't think he should have been banned. I mean it did say "All you can eat" and he really took that to heart, but still that's what it advertised!!

They should have promoted it. It's great publicity. Banning him just makes the restaurant look bad. All you can eat, unless you can eat more than we want you to.

Yeah totally, it would have made people think the Sushi / the food at that restaurant was really delicious if someone ate that much if it!!

I want all you can eat Mexican or Chinese food !!

That's 100 more plates than I'd ever eat of it.
