Hi, Fact Fans

I've always been happy Valerie Bertinelli never did Dancing With the Stars, because that would mean I'd have to watch Dancing With the Stars.

>shudder<

But go Nancy!!

Yes, yes she is. In this clip, she reminds me of a little leprechaun, if it's okay for me to say that. Shrunken, and tiny, but amazingly still Charlotte. And still wonderful.

And they did an amazing job recreating the season 1 set
They truly did. And I expect that same level of detail when (not if, but when) they recreate the Cafeteria set. It must happen.

I was truly amazed at their attention to detail: the three diagonal windows in the back wall, the clock and the globe (the dorm set always had one gajillion globes in it; see the "season one props" thread for a detailed listing), the book case, the beige phone, the couch, the passage to the kitchen/basement... it's all there.

Those sets are time-consuming to build. Yet DWTS must have built that set with only one or two weeks' notice. "Props" to all the set builders and designers.

and loved Kim’s dance number!
Not only was she great, even her dress had an Eastland uniform theme.

AND she brought in Julie Pie for her support. Who I adore, and Kim adores, and I never expected it, and it was just a huge surprise adore-fest for me, full of emotions. A little Eastland reunion with Tootie, Sue Ann, and Mrs. G. LOVE. IT!

I'd be quite disappointed. I want Eastland. But you're right: they could pick that set. Hope they don't.

Sure, it would be crowded with all that paraphernalia in there, but they would move it all out to the edges---oh jeez, I'd better not give 'em any ideas!
Haha! Yes, please don't. I mean, out of all the sets they could do, the OOH set would be, like, 14th down on the list:

1. The Eastland Cafeteria set
2. Girls' Eastland bedroom set
3. The First Season Cafeteria/Mr. Bradley's office/Gym set
4. Dorm common room set (again)
5. Edna's Edibles set
6. Series finale Eastland set
7. New York City restaurant set
8. Girls' bedroom above Edna's Edibles set
9. Langley College common room set
10. Eastland Auditorium set
11. Eastland Library set (admittedly a biiiiit narrow for dancing)
12. "The New Girl" police station set
13. "A Woman's Place" garage set
14. Over Our Heads set

Hey Opus!

I don't watch DWTS, but I sure enjoyed watching Kim do a tribute to Eastland. And if Nancy does one, I'll be doubly-pleased. and I will watch with popcorn. Hoping for a reunion of the entire cast, but would be happy to get just Nancy, Kim, Lisa, Mindy, Molly, and Julie Anne Haddock. Because after the show ended, we can never get more than six girls at a time, apparently. Ever.

I had absolutely no memory of that episode, so I just watched it on Daily Motion.

Now that would be an interesting re-creation!

But unfortunately, one with no resonance for almost any fans.

Yeah, the male dancer in that episode was a one-off, Jo didn't continue ballroom dancing for long, and the episodes by that era were very lightweight.

Still, at least there's a connection there, in that episode, to DWTS.

Maybe they could get the guy who played Eddie, in his sailor's uniform, to "give Jo away" to her partner. Then again, that'd be in the Grungy Motel Room... nevermind.

Poor John Schneider; he's one of the few actual stars, and he's not very visible at all in this pic.
