I see it's been two years since the opening posting for this thread. Can we revive it? I have finished two seasons of Murder She Wrote, and found that the show had vastly improved in the second season. I found most of the episodes in the first season to be rather boring. This seems to have changed in the second season.

I liked the Lila Lee episode and all those that balanced humour with tragedy. Is life really like that in Maine with no unlocked doors and everybody knowing their neighbours or have things changed since the 1980s?

My absolute favorite episode is "Murder Takes the Bus" from season 1. Not sure why, I've just always really liked it. I also really like all the episodes set in Cabot Cove.

Yes I liked the Cabot Cove episodes with the ocean backdrop and the stock support cast. It's one of the few series I would consider buying the DVDs.

Me too. I like it much better set in Cabot Cove!! I want to go there and rent Lila Small's house ( When thieves fall out ep. ) stay there till Arnie Wakeman falls in love with me and insists I move into his big beautiful home with him!!

But seriously I do like the Cabot Cove eps , it really gives you a feel that you are in an old, quaint, seaside town in Maine!! I'd really love to go on vacation to a town like that !

Some time ago I rewatched the series and made lists of my favorite episodes from each season. You can find my lists titled "Must-watch season [] episodes" on this board.

Here's a link to season 1's list: http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/...d.php?t=333187

I am half way through Season 12 now, and am not happy with most of the episodes at all. It looks like the writers were running out of gas or steam or both. I think it was just as well that the show ended. It was in neutral. Angela Lansbury didn't seem to even care by this stage.
