Default Sleeping over the cafeteria---which bed would you want?

If instead of Blair, Jo, Natalie, and Tootie living over the Eastland cafeteria's kitchen it was you and 3 other cohorts, which bed would you want?

Blair's - by the door
Jo's - by the window
Nat's - bottom bunk
Tootie's - top bunk

And I have to say, when I binge on this show, I always think to myself from time to time how I'm surprised that Blair took (got?) the bed by the door and the wall. You'd think the self-absorbed self-entitled spoiled rich girl would claim the bed nearest the window, so you'd think she and Jo's beds would be switched. At least I would, anyway. We don't know if Jo claimed the bed by the window, or if Blair was gracious and offered it to her, or if they all drew names or what, lol.

Blair's bed is too fancy for me, and sleeping in a bunk bed seems cumbersome. Therefore, I picked Jo's bed.

lol! I guess I wasn't clear; you're not taking the bed as is, you're making it your own bed. After all, it's you and 3 other cohorts, who are not part of the show.

And you don't have to take a bed; remember, there's always the floor with a sleeping bag or an air matress, lol (although I guess it would start to get kinda crowded then).

I too choose Jo's bed!

As a kid I would have totally picked Tootie's bed, as I always fantasized about bunk beds, and sleeping on the top one. But now as a grown man I don't wanna have to "work" to get into bed, lol, and I want Jo's 'cause it's closer to the window than Blair's.

I too chose Jo's bed by the window!

Like on the Brady Bunch, I never understood why Marcia being the oldest and probably having the first say in stuff why her bad was the first one close to the door? That would be the last bed I'd choose ! I would think she would prefer where Cindy's was along the side , seemed more private like the oldest girl would pick that spot or the one near the window where Jan slept. Seemed Cindy would have that bed closest to the door!

Sorry I can't chime in more. You guys are so cool and everything, but to be honest I'm not a big Facts of life fan (should I run and hide now) although I have seen several eps. and I was young when it was on first run! I mean it's OK , I don't hate it but I don't love it either!! Anyway if you don't mind me still posting and being friendly with you all and adding my little two cents!!

In One day at a time, Barbara the younger Sister slept in the bed closest to the door in the bedroom and Julie the older Daughter had the cooler bed next to the window!

We definitely don't mind people posting and being friendly in here, Bonnie!

And it's cool just hanging out with people who have a love of retro sitcoms!

At a sad time when the actors who played Mrs. Garrett and Mr. Parker have passed on, it's good to know there are other kindly sitcom fans to hang out with during these bittersweet times.

I'm kind of in the same boat as you, when it comes to the liking of certain sitcoms: I've seen some episodes of One Day At a Time, but I never got into it. It's not that it wasn't a cool show, but for me, there just were so many other great shows that I liked better. Valerie was cute, though; I will say that.

Very cool!!!

For whatever reason? I guess because ODAAT started when I was about 13 and Barbara and Julie were a little older than me, I thought the show was really cool , but than after a few seasons I reallly didn't watch that faithfully anymore! School, starting new jobs/first time working, friends. boyfriends kept me busy, so I guess that was why I didn't get into FOL that much although I had seen it! Than Antenna started showing ODAAT and I was like OMG I remember this show, WOW how cool, and well to make a long story short watching it again all the way through I developed a TOTAL crush on the oldest daughter Julie's Husband, Max in the show!!!! And now as a middle aged (bored, Peg Bundy type housewife ) I'm TOTALLY addicted to him and the show in general , and meeting really cool people on the ODAAT boards that became my very good friends!!

But way cool!! I'd love to come visit and post on the FOL boards and I'd love you guys to post on the ODAAT boards as well!!

Having the window side is kinda nice, unless everyone else insists on having the window open, and you're cold!

I'd actually want Jo's bed by the window but I would have to sleep next to Blair and that's not something I'd be jumping with joy with so i'll take Natalie's bottom bunk instead.

None of the girls in the cast are there, this is all imaginary; it's like if you had 3 other roommates.
