On Newsradio did Dave and Matthew never get along and was Matthew very emotional?

On Newsradio when Dave would talk to Matthew about anything it always seems that when Dave would ask to talk to Matthew about important business with the radio station Matthew always acted scared of Dave because he thought Dave would get Matthew in trouble for something that Matthew would do or did not do and so it tells me that Dave and Matthew never got along on Newsradio and Paul Simms designed the character Matthew Brock to have a smart personality but also cowardly at times? Another thing I noticed on Newsradio is that Matthew gets very emotional at times and certain things make him cry. Did the character Matthew Brock also have a serious yet sad personality too during certain Newsradio episodes?

Hi, Bestie! I think that Mathew was crazy and Dave was always worried that Mathew would get them all into trouble. So he would keep a close eye on him. I think Dave liked Mathew, but did not like the trouble Mathew caused. What do you think of that?
