Whilst watching one of my favorite segments, Louis Bourgeois & Jean-Marie Gagnon, something caught my eye. I recognized one of the police officials interviewed in one of my other all-time favorite segments, Salvatore Caruana. Looks like the same U.S. Marshal was interviewed in both segments: Arthur D. Roderick, Jr.
I realized I didn't really know exactly what the U.S. Marshal was so I googled it. Clicking through the wikipedia page I saw this picture: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United...._Marshals.jpg aaaand I swear it was the first thing I clicked on, and I swear it was him. What do you think? is it him on the right? Also, any other instances of the same law enforcement officials interviewed on multiple segments? |

This photo is staged as stated in the description, so I think they would be using actors rather than actual Marshals, most active agents in the field would likely want to keep their identity a secret. As an Inspector I am also thinking he wasn't a field agent out protecting people & catching bad guys anyway.

Also for what it's worth, bip, I don't see anything anywhere stating that your photo is staged myself and I do think the dude on the right strongly favors the interviewee. ETA: Ah, now I see it. I see no reason why actors would be used for such a photo, though. And to use an alternate meaning, the group could be 'staged' to move to another location. |

Yeah...the FBI Special Agent out of San Jose, William E. Smith, was interviewed in both the C.W. Roddy and Kevin Poulsen segments in Season 3. (Episodes #2 and #4)
In the latter, he is referred to as an "FBI Supervisory Special Agent." |
