Some good shows there. "I Married Joan" is pretty funny; will look forward to seeing that again.

I don’t even pick up Retro, it’s been years, since I’m too far away to get it by antenna and it’s not picked up on my cable (despite several requests). Regardless, it’s gained my interest by some of their programs like Dr. Who, One Step Beyond, and recently-added Ray Bradbury Theater. Haven, a more recent show, airs frequently and they have a hosted-horror theater (Horror Hotel). Green Hornet and other shows have come and gone in frequent years.

With some of those in prime hours, apparently among their most popular, why not a switch to a full science fiction, horror/suspense, fantasy, spy-fi, adventure/classic character station? I looked at some shows for this imaginary revision (imaginary but still should be done). Instead of just picking out random popular series like Star Trek, Stranger Things, or X-Files, I tried to choose series they may/could have some access to getting. I cheated on one which would seem to be a perfect fit, Dark Shadows, but I don’t think it’s broadcast anywhere at the present. Decades had it briefly, I believe.

Retro seems to air, or aired recently a lot of British programs so I chose from that batch, all at least 20 years old (no new Dr. Who). BBC and ITV. They have several shows from Canada, like police procedurals, so went with those. Maybe some stretching on ownership like Alliance-Atlantis. Not too long ago they had shows from Peter Rodgers Organization (PRO) like live action Conan so added some of those. And they have, for better or worse, plenty of public domain series so went with those as well. Some of the actual current owners may be off, but I did the best I could in a short time. Some may not have all episodes available especially shows from England. I tried to give emphasis to shows airing or aired recently.

To save some time and space, just listing shows they could potentially add/return/keep instead of doing a full schedule:

The Lone Ranger, 1949-1957 family adventure-western, 221 episodes, 30 min, 110.5 hours

My Favorite Martian, 1963, family science fiction-comedy, 107 episodes, 30 min, 53.5 hours

The Ray Bradbury Theater, 1985-1992, science fiction-horror anthology, 65 episodes, 30 min, 32.5 hours

One Step Beyond, 1959-1961, paranormal drama, 96 eps, 30 min, 48 hours

Doctor Who (classics), science fiction-adventure, approx. 500 available episodes, 30 min, 250 hours

Psi-Factor, Chronicles of the Paranormal, paranormal-drama, 88 eps, 60 min, 88 hours, Alliance Atlantis/Canada

The Veil, 1958, paranormal-suspense, 11 eps, 30 min, 5.5 hours, PD

The Collector, 2004-2006, horror-drama, 40 eps, 60 min, 40 hours, CHUM/Canada

The Invisble Man, 1958, spy-science fiction, 26 eps, 30 min, 13 hours

Starhunter, 2000-2004, science fiction, 44 eps, 60 min, 44 hours, Alliance Atlantis/Canada

Colonel March of Scotland Yard, 1954-1956,mystery-adventure, 26 eps, 30 min, 13 hours

The Prisoner, 1967-1968, science fiction-drama, 17 episodes, 60 min, 17 hours, ITC

Whoops Apocalypse, 1982, apocalyptic sitcom, 6 eps, 30 min, 3 hours, ITV

Hammer House of Horror, 1980, horror, 8 episodes, 60 min, 8 hours, ITV

Thriller, 1973-1976, horror-suspense, 67 eps, 60 min, 67 hours, ITV

The Adventures of Sinbad, 1996-1997, fantasy-adventure, 44 eps, 60 min, 44 hours, Alliance Atlantis/Canada

Dark Shadows, 1966-1971, paranormal soap opera, 1225 episodes, 30 min, 612.5 hours, CBS

Strange Paradise, 1969-1970, paranormal soap opera, 195 episodes, 30 min, 97.5 hours

Space 1999, 1975-1977, science fiction, 48 episodes, 60 min, 48 hours, ITC

These are just a few examples. There are also lots of movies available through these distributors or PD (if the quality was acceptable). I'd watch. Current shows on Retro not fitting the categories could be moved to Family Channel or not used anymore.

I'd watch.
