In the Season 4 episode The Route Of All Evil, it is mentioned that Brad is in the school band and he plays saxophone.

I can see how Brad would make a contribution...

Brad couldn’t be credited at the time due to unknown reasons. But it is rumored that either his parents Jill and Tim wouldn’t allow him to receive credit because he was too young or because his schooling got in the way.

I'd say...Wilson Wilson Jr. wasn't liking the path of The Beach Boys, seeing that Jesse Katsopolis handling the gigs and Brad almost falling in love with Stephanie Tanner. Danny disapproved and The Taylors suggested to Brad that school was more important.

I was looking up Slip Sleddin' Away recently, and there's the saxophone as well.

In fact, there's another plot to the episode. Brad contemplates stopping his saxophone lessons.
