They even fired the original globe, and the original grandfather clock, hiring replacement actors!

True, first the set dressing exodus, and then the girls!

And you know, if anyone had asked me what color the dorm piano was, I would have said "brown".

But it's not---it's, like, "cream"! (all the way through to "Dope")

Considering the subject, I'd call that color ivory!

Ha!

It's darker than the piano keys, but that is funny, lol.

Oo! The sombrero is more agile than we thought!

Just take a look at this screen cap from "Molly's Holiday" --- it was so excited for spring break it somehow made its way downstairs and was just waiting to make a break for it!

Nicely spotted!

I wonder why any of the students planned to take it with them during the break? It was supposed to be a short break, and only Blair was taking (what seemed like) the majority of her belongings.

Do we assume the sombrero was Blair's?

Oh I don't like to think of it as one of the girls' planning to take the hat on spring break, I just like to think of it as totally random that it somehow ended up down there.

Or who knows, maybe some of them were just playing around with it down in the common room. Maybe it was "Taco Tuesday" earlier in the week.

By the way, this crushed a last clinging hope I had of the season one pale piano getting any interaction ever---I had this hope that when Mrs. Garrett loses her steam stumbling in through the back door to catch Molly, that she braced herself with the piano for support when she stops and says, "Oh, one more lap and I woulda caught her!"---but no, she braces herself on the banister instead---so close! Oh, poor piano!

Could be!

Luckily, the cast and crew learned the errors of their ways, and throughout the later years of the show, they played other pianos in memory of the piano that never once was even touched.

Farewell, Ivory Piano in the Common Room! We hardly knew ye!

Last night I saw the Mister Rogers documentary "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" in a local theater, and that got me to thinking about something...you see, my favorite puppet character on that show is the French tiger Grandpere (shown below), who lives in the Eiffel Tower in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe. He's a new favorite; my childhood favorite was X the Owl, but since Twitch has streamed the entire series twice in the past year I fell in love with Grandpere as a new favorite character (he wasn't shown nearly as much as the others, so I didn't really remember him from the show as a kid).

So in LMLD, it would have been a lovely tribute if Blair had painted Grandpere atop the Notre Dame cathedral---then I would have been even more proud of her than Prototype Monica™ was!

And thanks to the magic of computers, I can now kind of mock that up myself for a "Facts"-meets-"Mr. Rogers" fantasy, lol:

Good ol' "PM", lol...they had to go back to re-do work on her before releasing her in time for the next season, lol.

So, has anyone ever really paid heed to outside the back door before? I assumed it was just an open grassy area, but look---it's a walled patio with furniture! (I like to think to the left of that brick column we see in the 2nd photo is a "gateway/entrance").

GREAT screenshots!

It's possible that they were duplicating the back courtyard of Harwood Hall, if that area was built sometime after it was used on Co-Ed Fever, since Harwood Hall has a back porch area.

That set had a lot of cool areas. It's kinda nice that that set was the one recreated on Dancing With the Stars.

And Mrs. Garrett actually looks a little slimmer in that moment than I'm used to thinking of her in season 1. She was probably heavier in those first 4 shows and I'd never realized it.

So who's the cat-lover at Eastland? There's a cat pillow in a chair and a poster with 3 kitties, lol (in the poster shot you can see 2 kitties, and I pointed out the ears of a 3rd one behind Nancy, lol---you can also see it at other times too [I believe it's in "Molly's Holiday" as well] )

The cat poster and the cat... thingy are nice touches. I do wonder who was the cat-lover, among the girls. Did we ever get dialog about pets at home?

I do remember that briefly, Tootie had a cat. So maybe the cat decor was hers?
