Haha! Great poll!
I think Molly Ringwald was very talented, but not musically, at that time. |

I think "Stop Junking Up America" fits her range better, but I can't help but always love "The 'Father's Can't Be Trusted' Blues"

I do appreciate the folksy choices. This type of political activism became rare to see on '80s sitcoms, once Reagan's "Greed is Good" mantra became widely accepted. |

Hey, I just noticed your avatar tag of "Julie, Julie Anne, & Felice 4Ever"---wait a minute, are you purposefully excluding Molly from "the group"?
lol...if you wanted to include her you could maybe do "Julie,JulieA,Felice,&Molly 4Ever" or "J, JA, F, & M 4Ever" or something, lol (your call of course, but I had to speak up for poor Molly stuck outside of Tumpy & Kedgie's room, haha).

I like Molly a lot, and she's my fourth-favorite Lost Girl. But Molly Ringwald has her own fan base: millions of people remember her and her movies. As far as I know, she has only acknowledged her part on FOL three times in 38 years: once in the 1986 interview, when she said coming back for the second season, in a reduced role, was her "worst job ever", once when she wished Charlotte Rae an on-air happy birthday, and once when she was asked by a caller on the phone for that interview show. Unlike the Julies and Felice, Molly refused to do more episodes beyond The New Girl part 2, so we see very little of her beyond the first season. Not so for Julie, Julie Anne, and Felice: they kept making appearances, no matter how small, until 1986. They've happily talked about their time on the show; they've done many interviews (Julie and Felice for the E True Hollywood Story and Cast Confessions; Felice and Julie Anne for Remembering FOL and After Facts; Julie for the WDW interview with GoJimmyGo, the St Louis child stars piece, and the Entertainment Weekly Oral History piece, among others). Molly, in contrast, almost never even acknowledges FOL. Felice, Julie Anne, and Julie do not have Molly's massive fan base, so I tend to spend more time on them. The forum doesn't allow more than the number of characters I put, so it had to be three. If I make room for Molly, I'd have to cut out part of Julie Anne's name, and that will not happen. |

Ahh, thanks for the info; that makes sense for your reasoning, and makes me feel better. I didn't wanna have to sadly put an arm around Molly and go put a flower in her hair.
![]() Ooo, the Hallmark 2-hour Charlotte/FOL-fest! Oh man, I wish someone would put that up on YouTube! I was fortunate enough in that I had it recorded for a while, so I did get to watch it a few times before it vanished with some DVR glitches. Being as that, and the Andy Cohen "What Happens Live" moments have both occurred in the last few years, it's encouraging that after decades of moving on, Molly Ringwald's scarred pain has apparently softened enough so that she can do things like answer questions about the show (WHL), or get on board and take part in wishing Charlotte a happy birthday (Hallmark). Progress! lol |

I wasn't able to download the Hallmark episode (or even get it to correctly play), but I did get the WWHL segment, so eventually, a portion of that interview will go on YouTube, in a second "Lost girls" segment, when I have some time. Quote:
But maybe, moving forward, we will. |
