Hmm, good question, and your reason very well could be the answer, possibly; the article was in the magazine's Winter 1984 issue.

I posted this in the Tootie and Jo thread but here's a rare/random video of Nancy Mckeon and Kim Fields performing a song together at the 1981 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade: They come in @1:01:47

From Tiger Beat in 1979. See if you can spot the mistake.

That's not Mindy! Also, I always thought that co-ed meant male and female together.

Ding ding ding!! They accidentally called Molly "Mindy", and Mindy is also labeled as "Molly".

And you are correct; Eastland was not co-ed at that time.

You win five Eastland bucks!

Oh, I didn't even see the "Mindy" being called "Molly" until you pointed it out.

They don't have Julie P labeled unless I'm missing it.

I greatly appreciate the five Eastland bucks as long as I don't have to spend it at Over Our Heads.

The original did, but it got cropped out of the photo.

Bwahahah! You don't want any '80s kitsch?

I'm sure it can be spent at Edna's Edibles.

They always did make the food at Edna's Edibles look amazing.

Except some of the crap the girls made. There was that terrible "Chinese" food, the messed-up pizza, etc.

Good finds, Mikaela!

Here's a promo for the first season of The Facts of Life, which lends credence to Molly's assertion that the producers told her she would be staying on: she's featured, along with Lisa, Kim and Mindy.

I just changed it to a link. Not sure why I can't embed it, but whatever.

Blair, Tootie, Natalie, and---Molly?? Wow, what a find!

I wonder how Molly got a shout-out over Sue Ann?? Maybe Ms. Ringwald had a great agent!

How odd! But what a fun fantastic quirky find!
