Default The Top 100 TV Shows I Want to See Most

The Top 100 Shows I Want to See Most: Inaugural Edition

1. Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em- Britcom starring my favorite singer Michael Crawford
2. What a Country! – syndicated sitcom starring Russian comedian Yakov Smirnoff
3. Mrs. Columbo- Columbo is in my overall top 5. And the spin-off stars Kate Mulgrew.
4. Johnny Staccato- 1959 drama about a jazz pianist who is also a private detective
5. Car 54, Where Are You? – Fred Gwynne and Al Lewis starred in this sitcom shortly before The Munsters.
6. Pacific Station- said to be like Barney Miller, plus it stars Robert Guillaume from Benson.
7. The Fitzpatricks- Waltons like drama about a Catholic family. Helen Hunt was one of the children.
8. The Lone Gunmen- I enjoyed their appearances on The X-Files.
9. Simon and Simon- Gerald McRaney is one of the Simons.
10. Homefront- Kyle Chandler was in this drama a few years before Early Edition.

I have now seen all 7 episodes in the first series of Some Mothers Do 'Ave 'Em. It is even better than I thought it might be, Michael Crawford can act as well as he sings. And it might come close to Fawlty Towers for the best Britcom.

What a Country is good, too bad it only lasted one season. Maybe it would have done better in network primetime than first-run syndication. I did not know Don Knotts was the principal for the 2nd half.

Highly recommend these:

Perfect Strangers
Major Dad
The Torkelsons
The Real McCoys

Also, about the new Dolly Parton Netflix deal, it's been announced that the first "episode" will be based on her song "These Old Bones".
