Update: Fox Cancels "LA to Vegas"
Fox Execs on Fate of Freshman Comedy Series "LA to Vegas" and "Ghosted"
by Nellie Andreeva May 14, 2018 Fox is heading into its upfront presentation today with two freshman comedy series, midseason addition "LA to Vegas" and fall entry "Ghosted" still in limbo. “We haven’t made a decision,” Fox chairman Dana Walden said during Fox’s upfront press call today. “We still have episodes to air in July,” she said. Dana Walden said regarding "LA to Vegas", “we wanted to make decision if we have place to allow the show to grow.” She noted that series creator/exec producer Lon Zimmet is working with executive producer Steve Levitan on ideas and they will revisit Season 2 when everyone gets back to Los Angeles from New York. “If we can’t find a way to make noise, we won’t do it,” Walden said. She and Fox chairman Gary Newman dismissed notion that "LA to Vegas" and "Ghosted’s" future is jeopardized by the fact that they are single-camera as all live-action series currently slated on Fox for next season are multi-camera – "Last Man Standing", "Rel" and "The Cool Kids". http://deadline.com/2018/05/la-to-ve...-2-1202390255/ |

Fox Cancels "LA to Vegas" after 1 Season
by Nellie Andreeva May 21, 2018 Fox’s single-camera airplane comedy series "LA to Vegas" has been permanently grounded as the network has opted not to renew it for a second season. It got off to a promising start with its premiere ranking as Fox’s highest-rated Tuesday comedy telecast in nearly a year and quickly earned an order for three additional episodes but its ratings have tapered off since. With the decision on "LA to Vegas", Fox has cancelled all of its existing live-action comedy series — all of them single-camera — with the exception of "Ghosted", whose fate is still TBD. http://deadline.com/2018/05/la-to-ve...tt-1202395650/ |
