I agree with justin on Patti English. Xuan Van Nguyen also comes to mind. I also choke up during the portion of the Kathy Hobbs segment when her mother tearfully says, "And she was also a very good friend, as well as being my daughter." |

Always, Karen, the segment about the young woman who died of cancer. She and her parents considered themselves the Three Musketeers. When the daughter was in a coma and the dad says, "We understand if you need to go. We'll always be the Three Musketeers" I always start crying. I can't watch this one very often

Two that come to mind are the Kansas City firefighters (especially the part with the unanswered radio calls) and Matt Flores, particularly when they show his little girl, who was only a baby at the time. That this has never been solved even with that $100,000 (in 1994) reward and the killing makes zero rational sense makes it even sadder.

I can't remember the person's name, but there was an older person, who would play Santa Claus on the radio, that was looking for his daughter that he had to give up for adoption.
At the end of the segment, Robert Stack gives the heart breaking update that she was killed in a silo explosion when she was 18, and grew up believing both of her birth parents were deceased. Hopefully they're together again, where ever they are. |
