The fourth one hasn't come out yet; and if I would've known it was only gonna be a six issue mini-series, I wouldn't have bothered with; but I'll get through the rest of them instead of upsetting the comic book store. It's not quite as kid friendly as the show because it's a teen rated comic book series. Elroy and his sister are more grown up; and once in awhile, they'll have scantily clad girls including Judy; and there's even swearing in one of the issues. The artwork looks nothing like it used to, but the story and plot are good. Like so many comic books, they tend to make it confusing about who's talking. What's really an eye opener was that they have Lake Cogswell who is the daughter of the company that is in competition with Spacely Space Sprockets trying to have a relationship with Elroy; and with the way she's drawn, I wonder why Elroy says they're just friends. It's not what I'd prefer; but it would be awesome if it was an ongoing series; but unfortunately, Hanna-barbera has a tendency to cancel good ones like Godzilla, which is my favorite one.
Take care and God bless |
