Did Myrna Inspire Will & Grace's Karen? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

When I first saw W&G, Karen immediately made me think of Myrna.

Now that I've been watching Rhoda again, I see a small, messy, NYC design office with a secondary desk for the assistant---Myrna.

Karen and Myrna both have squeaky voices, both like to party, neither are slaves to punching a clock at their respective offices.

Now that the IMDB message boards are gone, I was lucky to find this forum to see if anyone else ever noticed this but haven't found a thread that discusses it.

Anyone else notice the Myrna v. Karen thing?

Never noticed it before, but they're both as annoying as hell, so you may have a point.
