Sad Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Pulls Rockford Files from the air after just one week

That was way too short. The Rockford Files has been pulled from the lineup after its 1st and only week on weekdays. So Hallmark Movies and Mysteries never got past the episodes that aired on the launch marathon. Diagnosis Murder is back to 4 episodes a day. I like that show but they should have given Rockford more of a chance.

Typical Hallmark. Face it, they could care less about anything made before 1984.

Mary Tyler Moore, The Bob Newhart Show, The Rockford Files.

It was a big mistake for Hallmark Movies & Mysteries and i think it should've keep The Rockford Files on the schedule much longer. I can imagine if only The Rockford Files & Police Woman paired together for the first time since the mid-1970s when both shows were originally aired by NBC.

I couldn't believe that Rockford Files was already gone. Why did they even bother?

Movies and Mysteries couldn't wait to get rid of Rockford Files. Not only is it pulled from the weekday schedule, there was going to be a marathon of Rockford movies a week from Sunday. That has been replaced with a Monk marathon.

Why Monk? Does that have to do with mysteries at all?

Yes. It is a popular show from a few years ago about a detective with hundreds of phobias who also solves hundreds of murders. It fits in with all the other crime dramas on the network. Tony Shalhoub won several Emmys playing the lead role. I am guessing it is their highest rated show, got a few timeslot upgrades and more episodes on weekdays, currently airs from 3-7. And Monk has already had several weekend marathons after joining the schedule this year.
