I recall seeing this episode only once when I was maybe 10 years old. I might not have the exact details right but in general the plot was that Uncle Fester got a message from an old girlfriend who was going to visit him soon and she said that she would go on a diet so as to look proper when she meets him. So, Uncle Fester decides to lose weight and goes on an exercise and diet regimen that is hard for him to stick to but he loses some weight and then when his former girlfriend visits him she says that he looks awful as a thinner man even if it is by a few pounds, and she prefers a man with meat on him, and Uncle Fester says to her that she herself said she would go on a diet, and his girlfriend replied that she really meant she would go on a diet in which she gained weight not lose it.
When I was watching the Addams Family as a pre-teen the episodes were already strictly in re-runs. I don't recall seeing this episode more than once, and I never saw a re-run of it of all the other episodes I saw re-runs of. What was the name of this episode? Also, if anyone knows what date it originally aired, let me know. |
