"The Good Fight" Promotes Michael Boatman and Nyambi Nyambi to Series Regulars
"The Good Fight" Promotes Pair to Series Regular for Season 2 (Exclusive)
by Kate Stanhope Aug 1, 2017 "The Good Fight" is promoting two cast-members ahead of season two. The CBS All Access drama has upped Michael Boatman and Nyambi Nyambi to series regulars, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. Boatman has portrayed Julius Cain since season one of "The Good Wife". He appeared in 18 episodes before he was written into "The Good Fight" as having joined the firm of Reddick Boseman & Kolstad shortly ahead of his former boss, Diane (Christine Baranski). In season one of the spin-off, Cane made waves at his firm when his conservative politics came to light — something co-creators and showrunner Robert and Michelle King hope to explore further in season two. "We love the idea of an African-American conservative who finds it harder and harder given the partisan nature of the law firm and where it's headed," Michelle told THR earlier this year. Meanwhile, Nyambi appeared in seven installments of "The Good Fight's" 10-episode first season as Jay Dipersia, the in-house investigator at Reddick Boseman & Kolstad and mentor to hopeful investigator Marissa (Sarah Steele). In addition to adding the two actors to its main ensemble, the legal drama will expand to 13 episodes for its second season. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/liv...romoted-994117 |
