Did GSN do changes to the Final Chase Round on The Chase?

When GSN launched the second season of The Chase I noticed that they made changes to the Final Chase Round and when I watched The Chase I was shocked at the changes to the Final Chase Round. First why did they make the contestants have buzzers to answer questions and when The Chase debuted on GSN I remember when each contestant had a lock-in device that told their names but then they switched to buzzers in Season 2. Second I remember when the Final Chase first started in The Chase's debut season that the contestants would answer questions right away but when GSN debuted Season 2 of The Chase the contestants had to choose between question sets A or B with Mark Labbett choosing the remaining question set. Was this change added to The Chase's Final Chase Round to save money on production of the show?

Hi Bestie! You are right, they did change it. I think it was supposed to help them beat the "beast". But as usual Mark would win anyway. I wish The Chase would have had more contestants like you. Maybe Mark would not have won so much!

Thank you for your reply my friend. When I would watch The Chase I noticed this change on the Final Chase Round and I think the new format was made to make the Final Chase easier to win. When I used to watch The Chase I used to play along with the Final Chase Round and sometimes I would get the answer right before the contestants did. I sure do miss The Chase a lot but I'm glad there is still reruns being shown on GSN on weekday afternoons

I miss the Chase too Bestie! I wish they would show the British version here. Have you seen it on youtube? Oh well, my friend, we will just have to watch reruns and wait till GSN realizes what they are missing by not reviving it.
