Looking at this in hindsight, I think Blossom used such terms as "slut" and "this sucks" and "boobs", and there were also references to condoms. That was probably before the usage of such terms became commonplace in television.

I agree. I think it makes the show more real with real dialogue and its what teenagers would say.

How about this: Nick Russo said "arse", the UK equivalent of "a$$", in this line:
"I can't wait until his bonny, bonny arse is back in Scotland. I already know what he's like, and I know what he wants." The line was from "Blue Blossom", which featured a Scottish guy: Carol's ex-husband, Graham (Alastair Duncan, or Neil Duncan, his full name is actually "Alastair Neil Duncan"). |

Blossom, at least to me, is a lot more "tame" than sitcoms today like The Big Bang Theory and 2 Broke Girls. Ironic considering the lead actress is on The Big Bang Theory. And I think it wasn't just Blossom making inappropriate references. It was nearly every sitcom of the late 80's and 90's.
