Default A thought About Craig and Kim's Father

Something I never thought about until a couple days ago. On Here’s Lucy I always assumed Craig and Kim were part Cuban, since in real life they were Desi Anaz’s children and they looked like him. But then I thought about Gale Gordon’s character being their uncle, meaning his brother was their father. Since Uncle Harry isn’t Cuban, I doubt his brother would be, haha. Gordon’s previous sitcom brother was George Wilson played by Joseph Kearns. It’s funny thinking about Lucy and the first Mr. Wilson being married. That last statement was just a random thought, lol.

Maybe Uncle Harry and Lucy's late husband were half brothers with the late Mr. Carter having had a Hispanic mother while Harry's mother was of British extraction but they had the same father. Also, Harry's sister the nun called Sister Paula (played by Mary Wickes) could have been his half sister on his own mother's side which could explain why Lucy had never met her previous to helping her All-Nun Band AND why she never inquired about Kim and Craig being that they'd have been her step-niece and step-nephew rather than half or full niece or nephew. Of course what's odd about that plot twist was that in Real Life Mary Wickes was considered a de facto member of the Ball-Arnaz family with the younger Arnazes adoring her to the end.
Also, it should be noted that several times, Gale Gordon appeared as Mr. Littlefield (Ricky's boss) on "I Love Lucy" but no one would have thought the two could have been brothers.

This is great! If Lucy were married to Mr. Wilson, he would really need his nerve medicine. Great Scott!

The writers of Here's Lucy would forget the relationship between Harry and the kids quite a bit. Like one time I recall something about the kids inheriting something and Harry owing them but since they were all related, the kids would actually wind up owing themselves the money.
