Title of an episode

Hi friends,

I have a question for you about a friend of Cordell appeared in (at least) an episode. I can't remember the name of that guy, and the title of the episode neither.

In the episode I'm talking about, this guy (maybe a cop or a sheriff, I can't remember) helps Walker to solve a case. Probably he has american-indian features, he's round about 50 years old, shorter than Walker, he runs as fast as a bullet, he's a world class martial artist.

Close to the end of the episode an explosion occurs, Walker and this guy observe the blast from behind a little hill in order to protect themselves. After the bang they are perfectly safe and this friend says to Walker something like "Today is a great day to live".
I can't report the correct phrase because I've seen the serie only in italian language, but I suppose that that's a near translation of the italian sentence.
