Just read the bio Miss Sagal wrote and have to say that she gave a warm testimony not only in what a talented and innovative performer the late Mr. Ritter was but also in how caring and supportive a friend he was to her before his sudden death. No doubt that there were no 'acting tricks' needed by any of the cast in how upset they were by his death on the tribute show and the aftermath. Yes, she also praised the late Mr. Garner for his supportive presence as her character's father but conceded that that wasn't the comedic spur the show had lacked since Mr. Ritter's death- then diplomatically related how Mr. Spade's addition wasn't enough to help the show from being cancelled in the end.
