Default Ummm...Season/Series Finale? What?

Was that it? Last night, not only do Mike and Molly adopt a baby, they find out that they're pregnant?

I liked it much better when The King of Queens did it.

it was an OK finale - we got to see Grandma and Carl and the guy who owns the diner, and some other characters we haven't seen in awhile. Not enough Jim though.

but I agree - I thought they just did a full-on King of Queens impersonation there.

Also, I just checked out the finale of Rules of Engagement and it was similar. They didn't adopt but had a surrogate have their baby and shortly after that, the wife (I haven't seen this show in a long time and I forget their names, sorry) tells Patrick Warburton's character that she's pregnant. That must be the new way to end sitcoms about characters in relationships, lol.

Mike and Molly was a great show and it could have lasted a couple of more years.

Actually both Mike and Molly could be written out (maybe moved away to California or something) and have the show be about the other characters, Joyce and Vince, with Carl married to Victoria, with Samuel still running the diner.

I see Katy Mixon has her own show this fall. Victoria is the perfect woman. A chunky, dark haired beauty who likes sex, red wine and pot. What else is there?

I agree that Mike & Molly could have gone on for a couple more seasons. Strange that it was cancelled because I thought it was doing good in the ratings. ????

And I'd love to have spin-off with the supporting characters. Victoria and Carl could take the leads, still living with Joyce and Vince, and Samuel running the neighborhood diner. Eventually Victoria and Carl could buy a fixer-upper and Samuel could move in with Joyce and Vince. The possibilities are endless.

The network didn't want to renegotiate a new licensing fee.

Wow, I'm glad to see some others think the other characters would have made a wonderful spin off. I started a board called spin off and nobody responded. I didn't look here because I already knew about the show ending, I thought I read every post but I somehow missed it till tonight. Now I feel better. They were all so entertaining and I miss the show so much. I watch the reruns but wish there were some new ones coming out. Molly could have went off on a book tour or something and the rest of them would have left us in stitches I'm going to watch Katys new show when it comes on hope its a good one! I don't watch many of the newer sitcoms mostly the retro stuff but seems when I do like one it doesn't stick around long enough.
