LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - "Good Morning Miami" just got some good news -- the new comedy has been given a full-season pickup from NBC. The network has ordered an additional nine episodes of the Thursday night romantic comedy, which stars Mark Feuerstein, Ashley Williams, Jere Burns, Tessie Santiago, Matt Letscher, Constance Zimmer and Brooke Dillman as employees of Miami's underdog morning news program. Suzanne Pleshette also stars in the series created by "Will & Grace" duo David Kohan and Max Mutchnick. "Once again, executive producers David (Kohan) and Max (Mutchnick) have delivered a smart and winning comedy that fits perfectly into our Thursday night lineup," says Jeff Zucker, president of NBC Entertainment. "We believe this series is just finding its rhythm and will continue to gain momentum throughout the rest of the season." Aided by it's spot on NBC’s high-profile Thursday-night lineup, the show has averaged an 8.4 rating, 20 share among adults 18-49 and 16.3 million viewers overall, making it the season's No. 1 new series and new comedy among adults 18-49 prior to last night's (Oct. 24) telecast. "Good Morning Miami" is also showing a strong 79 percent retention of its 18 to 49 lead-in from "Will & Grace." "Good Morning Miami" airs Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC. |

It looks like NBC is going to pick up all of its shows except for In-Laws.

GMM has gotten 10 times better...so I'm glad about this. The In-Laws could get picked up because the ratings really haven't been THAT terrible...but we'll see...

I'm glad that this shows was picked up for an entire season also! I think that it is the best new comdey on NBC. Far better than In-Laws and Hidden Hills

I wasn't surprised it was picked up for the full season. I had been told it was keeping 79% of its lead-ins audience. And networks love when new shows can do that.

I'm glad the show's doing well. I like it more with every passing episode. It's adult comedy at its best. It will really start to get interesting now with the Jake/Dylan/Penny storyline. Good show.
