Any show that can find a way to make a discussion about Czar Alexander the 2nd humorous can't be all bad. But I wonder if they copied this scene from Robin's Nest, the original British version of Three's a Crowd.

There are a couple of episodes on YouTube. Just type TAC (Season 1).

Thanks for pointing them out. Watched them last night. Biggest problem with the show is Vicky is too milquetoast. A woman with some attitude was what this show needed.
