no "new to HLN" episodes last night either. Crap. We were just starting to get into the really good stuff too. Hopefully, they're just taking a break.

I've been scouring the internet to try to find the "Eight Men Out" episode, I'm doing a project on the case and I'd love to find something with a more scientific angle on the Norfolk Four case. If any one has any suggestions for finding this episode I would be very grateful!
*Update*
After a few calls, I found out that my local library can order the episode (on VHS, so now I just need to locate a VHS player!) from another branch! I thought I would simply update the post in case anyone else is that desperate to see any specific episode.

This has quietly snuck back on to ID's lineup as "Cause Of Death", currently airing a pair of episodes at 11 a.m. Tomorrow has "Purrr-fect Match", which I'll be glad to get as they yanked it before it could air last time and is one of only a few dozen episodes I have yet to get.

It still amazes me how many different titles this show continues to air under over the years. Good find thanks for the info.

well that was brisk. Just a 4 day run this time. At least I picked up a couple episodes.

Cold Case Files also popped up on Lifetime for a few days last week, and was gone just as quickly.

Locatetv is now officially closed. Dammit. They also had some tremendous episode guides that I use frequently.

Have you tried Time Warner's website? I've used it for info on the new UM episodes before.

I can find literally nothing online that says Forensic Files covered this case and I have no idea who the narrator is. A surprise indeed.
Forensic Files covered the case under its original name, Medical Detectives. The episode originally aired on TLC in 2001, although Court TV was already carrying the series by that time. Because of legal issues, Peter Thomas could not work for both TLC and Court TV at the same time. Hence the different narrator. (The substitute narrator was Peter Dean, not Bill Kurtis.)

My local CBS affiliate is airing a rare episode this coming week, "Insect Clues." As far as I can recall it's never aired on HLN, ID or TruTV. I've had a copy for a while now and can tell you it is extremely graphic. Like probably the most graphic in the series. I don't know how much of it will be edited, but just be careful if that kind of thing is bothersome to you.

For me it airs on the 31st, but your local listings might have it on during another day.

Your local CBS affiliate is not the only non-cable channel to air reruns of Forensic Files. I live near Boston, but my cable system carries WBIN, an independent Derry, NH station that airs five episodes of the show on Saturdays. WBIN has shown some episodes that haven't appeared on HLN. One of them was "Trail of Truth," which is about the 1987 murders of Nancy Newman and her two young daughters.

It's cool that reruns of Foriensic Files are airing in non-cable syndication as well as cable. We FF viewers have the best of both worlds.
