Default My Favorite Martian returned as a cartoon

Didn't know until I now that MFM was animated for the kids in the mid-70's and lasted 2 years

Wonder why Bixby and Walston never took part....

My Favorite Martians, plural. Jonathan Harris was Martin and the character of his actual Martian nephew Andy, introduced late in the original series, is featured as a regular here.

The first video posted was from the syndicated 1977 Groovie Goolies & Friends which took MFM, the Goolies, Gilligan cartoon, etc. and packaged them into one big show.

Here is the original opening from 1973. It aired at 10am on CBS and the "Jeannie" cartoon followed it at 10:30. Just seeing this makes me feel 5 years old again sitting in front of the TV with a big bowl of Cap'n Crunch.

Watching that theme it looks like a completely revamped show! So 2 martians one older and one younger hmm.

A teenage looking martian. Makes sense for the younger Saturday morning viewers.

I haven't gotten that far yet into the series. I'm almost done with season 1 of the original. Never knew the producers tacked on a nephew before the show got canned.

For anyone interested in the "My Favorite Martians" cartoon, there's this on Ebay now.
