Cool Cat Maynard G. Krebs. Just because he's Maynard.

Cool

Like, simple, man!Maynard was the coolest cat and the hippest in the show!

Not only that,he was a sensitive young man who never lost sight of simple childhood pleasures. He was an individualist who had his own strong beliefs.

True,as the show went on he was played more and more for laughs, but I never quite lost sight of him being someone who broke away from the beatnik-mold and became someone who did his own thing.

Maynard could be said to be the missing link between beatniks and hippies.Bop-bop-boobie- do-bop-bop-boobidobidobido-!

Cool

The G in Maynard G. Krebs stands for Walter not Irving. My favorite character is Maynard. I have never seen the show but I have heard alot about it and Maynard sounds like a real cool and far out guy.

Actually He said it was Walter the most but I remember (if I am indeed remembering correctly and I think I am) He said a few different names for his middle name and Irving was one of them, and Dobie said I thought it was Walter.

Chatsworth Osborne Jr and his Mummy played by Doris Packer. Also got laughs from Zelda.

Maynard. I loved it when somebody would say something like "I feel like something the cat dragged in" and he'd pop in saying, "You rang?"

Dobie, Zelda, Thalia, Chatsworth, and his mother were all a close second. Really, I loved all the characters.

Herbert T Gillis. Loved it when ol Herb would become annoyed with Dobie and say "Some day I just gotta kill that boy I just gotta".
