Passions gets to stay on for another year, those dummies! Doesn't NBC know Passions isn't fast it's a slow show! They need new material. I know I'm a Passions fan but come on it sucks right now.
From Zap2it: NBC Remains Passionate About 'Passions' Fri, Jan 17, 2003 01:02 PM PDT LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - The mainstream press doesn't spend much ink on the world of daytime drama, but that doesn't mean it's not a viable form of programming. After proving itself to be the fast-growing soap opera around, "Passions" has been given the greenlight for another year by NBC. In addition to the more traditional soap structure of revolving around four core families -- the Cranes, Lopez-Fitzgeralds, Bennetts and Russells -- the town of Harmony, where "Passions" is based has the distinction of boasting a 300-year-old witch as a resident. Created by daytime drama veteran James E. Reilly ("Days of Our Lives") the soap comes by its more eccentric qualities honestly. Reilly has made a name for himself by subjecting characters to such indignities (and opportunities for scene stealing) as being buried alive, demonically possessed and suffering from multiple personality disorder. |
