Default What is going on with Hallmark Channel?

I have noticed that Hallmark Channel has gone downhill and I would know what the reason is? Is it because Hallmark Channel is changing it's image and becoming more like the Up Channel or is it because Hallmark Channel is getting a new audience to their network? Because when I have seen Hallmark Channel it seems that they seem to show nothing but reruns of Frasier Cheers and The Golden Girls and I Love Lucy every day and it surprises me that Hallmark Channel is doing this and you might think that with the addition of reruns of Last Man Standing and The Middle Hallmark Channel should add more sitcoms and perhaps have a classic hour of sitcoms such as The Lucy Show My Little Margie Leave It To Beaver and The Patty Duke Show and it would be so fun to watch. Another thing I've noticed about Hallmark Channel is not only are they named for the Hallmark stores you don't even see Hallmark Hall Of Fame movies being shown on the channel and it seems that Hallmark Channel focuses on showing their own original movies rather than showing Hallmark Hall Of Fame movies. Also besides showing sitcoms Hallmark Channel should also air reruns of shows such as Hart To Hart Walker Texas Ranger Early Edition and many other shows and with a lineup like this Hallmark Channel should attract many more fans for years to come
Have you noticed this about Hallmark Channel and do you think Hallmark Channel should improve the channel?

I do somewhat agree with you. Hallmark has gone down in the dumps but it's not as bad as say.... Tvland. Hallmark still airs many classic TV shows and I have no issue with them airing them. Although they do put most of their classic shows on late at night which is a pain

^^^I'm ok with this, considering how hard it is to find these shows elsewhere and the fact that they're amongst my favorite sitcoms.

If there's one thing I do find annoying about Hallmark Channel's reruns of these shows, it's that they've all been banished to the graveyard slots. I wish they aired during the daylight hours instead.

I'm sorry I have to disagree. I think the Hallmark Channel is doing a fine job and I like it. Yes they could have some of the sitcoms they rerun on at a...more reasonable time of day but that's a very small thing. I like to stay up kind of late so I'm OK with that.

As for their Hallmark Hall of Fame movies, there's actually a Hallmark Movie Channel too and I imagine they'd show those movies on that channel. I just watched a movie on there last weekend although it wasn't a Hallmark Hall of Fame one. You could check with your cable or satellite TV provider to see if they have it and subscribe to it.

I was in a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie: Love Is Never Silent. It starred Mare Winning ham and Sid Ceaser. I played a guy walking down the street.

I'm very happy you agree with me Family Matters. Mom likes Hallmark Channel too and is happy to see I Love Lucy on it. I sure wish that they would bring Happy Days back and put it in the timeslot that Little House On The Prairie has and it would be a good sitcom for Hallmark Channel to air and perhaps add Family Ties and The Hogan Family and Mork And Mindy too of course and that would make Hallmark Channel wonderful to watch. Thank you very much for your reply

Hallmark annoys me. There endless Christmas programming, credit crunch, same shows over and over again. Too many movies.

I would like Home Improvement to air in a much decent timeslot weekdays and I also would like Home Improvement and Last Man Standing to be added to the weekends.
